  • Eligibility: Sweepstakes begins at 12:01:00 A.M. Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 15, 2007 and ends at 11:59:00 P.M. (“ET”) on May 15, 2007. Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada (void in the Province of Quebec), who are 18 years of age or older. Persons who are employees of Cruising World, Sailing World and World Publications, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and their advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective employees, representatives, agents and the immediate families (spouse, children, parents and siblings) and/or those living in the same household of such persons at any time before or during this Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter.

  • How to enter: Enter Online by visiting www.sailingworld.com and follow entry instructions for completing online entry between 12:01 A.M. (ET) on February 15, 2007 and 11:59 P.M.(ET) on May 15, 2007. Limit: One entry per **person regardless of method of entry. **No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries are eligible. Mass entries or entries generated by script, macro or use of automatic devices will be disqualified. Entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Incomplete entries are void. Online entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is deemed as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

  • PRIZE / ODDS AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV’): ** The prize is a trip for two to the 2007 America’s Cup in Valencia, Spain including roundtrip (coach) air transportation from an airport nearest winner’s home, 6 nights’ hotel (double occupancy) accommodations, tickets for 3 days on the water watching the races, transfers and local taxes (ARV $4,000). Actual value of trip based on location of winner and fares at time of departure. Gratuities or other expenses not specified herein are winner’s responsibility. **The trip is scheduled for June 22-29, 2007. Winner must be able to leave on the date designated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited which will result in an alternate winner being selected at random. All costs, but for the hotel room and airfare, tickets for 3 days on the water watching the races, local Valencia transfers and local travel taxes shall be at the winner’s expense, including but not limited to, meals, ground transportation, transfers, tours, gratuities, applicable taxes, which cost are not a part of this offer. The airline tickets described herein shall entitle 2 people to a round-trip flight in coach class or seating class of equal cost or less, from and to a major United States airport, as defined as an airport where regularly scheduled passenger jets take off and land as operated by major United States airlines, which flight shall travel to and from New York (JFK) and to and from Valencia, Spain and which flight may involve whatever routes, layovers, destinations and/or stopovers as may be established by the airline to reasonably reach New York (JFK) and to and from Valencia, Spain. The selection of the airline to and from New York (JFK) and to and from Valencia, Spain, its origination, destination and the date and time of the flight shall be ultimately subject to Sailing World’s discretion. The winner, to effectuate the airline tickets, shall comply with the tickets’ terms and conditions and those of the airline. Please note that the airline ticket portion of the award only accompanies this award and is not part of any other offer. Winner and travel companion are responsible for valid passports for international travel. The prize will be awarded. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

  • Winner Selection. A random drawing will be held on or about May 18, 2007 from among all entries received. All decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.

  • Promotion. The winner agrees to and allows Sailing World and Cruising World Magazines to promote and publicize the winner and his/her written winning entry in relation to this contest and will agree to having his/her photograph taken and subsequently used, printed or reproduced in any media editorial, promotional and advertising materials.

  • General Rules. Each entrant must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such terms and conditions. Potential Winner will be notified by phone and/or mail or e-mail and required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Release of Liability/Publicity Release (except where prohibited by law) within 10 days of date printed on notification or he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing. Travel companion will be required to sign a release of liability. Prize will be awarded within 30 days of winner verification. Sponsor reserves right to substitute prize for one of equal or greater value in the event the prize is unavailable. Prize cannot be transferred and is not redeemable for cash. Winner responsible for all taxes on prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes agreement by winner (i) to release Sponsor and World Publications and their agents from all liability with respect to the prize, (ii) to be bound by these Official Rules and (iii) permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, likeness, hometown, prize won and/or comments about winning for promotional & publicity purposes in any media without further compensation.

  • Sponsor is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, and delay in operation of transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or failure of e-mail on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any web-site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any materials in the sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for misdirected or for lost, late or postage-mail. In the event the Sweepstakes is, in the opinion of sponsor, compromised by non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the online method of entry but continue with the mail-in/store entry method.
