Mauricio SantaCruz and his Bruschetta team are the 2007 J/24 World Champions, having secured victory with an 18th-place finish in the penultimate race off Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. The Brazilian team sat in the top spot all week, winning one race, placing in the top five in three others, and finishing the 10-race, 70-boat regatta with only 63 points.Mike Ingham and his Brain Cramp crew from the United States placed second after sailing a very consistent series.
