Troy Gilbert reports from the ÅF Offshore Race, a 350-mile distance race that starts in Stockholm, Sweden and leads to the Baltic Sea.

Luna Rossa struts its stuff around the course solo on July 11 for the third race of the Louis Vuitton Cup in San Francisco.

Juan Maegli, two-time Olympian and the 2013 College Sailor of the Year, managed to balance an Olympic campaign with a successful college sailing career. His secrets? First, if you don’t feel like sailing at 100 percent, don’t sail at all; second, invest in a hiking bench.

This annual race around the coast of France began in 1978. Twelve teams compete in one-design M34s: 8 pro teams, including Groupama 34 with Franck Cammas, and 4 amateur teams. The race runs through the end of July. Photos by Jean-Marie Liot/ASO
