Day 3 of the 2013 Finn European Championship Video

Under a black flag, the fleet got started in a building seabreeze. Zbogar (SLO) still leads, but the scoreboard has tightened up–just one point behind is Jonathan Lobert (FRA) and Ed Wright (GBR is just another two points back.

Day 2 of the 2013 Finn European Championship Video

After Monday’s poor showing of breeze, Tuesday (Day 2) brought a gorgeous seabreeze to the anxiously awaiting fleet at the Finn European Championship in Warnemunde, Germany. Vasilij Zbogar (SLO) quickly pulled ahead to first, with Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) and Andrew Murdoch (NZL) in second and third, respectively. Watch the three races here.

Edgartown Race Weekend

Edgartown Yacht Club’s three-day Race Weekend brought full-on action with over 20 knots of breeze. During the 54.7 nautical mile ‘Round-the-Island Race, 62 teams battled it out, but 90 foot maxi yacht _Rambler _took home the Concord Cup for fastest time around the island, recording the fastest time for circumnavigation during the event to date. 2013 Finn Dinghy European Championship

Day 3: Under a black flag, the fleet got started in a building seabreeze. Zbogar (SLO) still leads, but only by one point over Jonathan Lobert (FRA) and by three points over Ed Wright (GBR). Day 1 & 2: Although there was no wind on Monday, Tuesday brought a fantastic seabreeze to the Finn Europeans in Warnemünde, Germany. Vasilij Zbogar (SLO) is the early leader, with Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) and Andrew Murdoch (NZL) in second and third, respectively.

Young, but Hardly Green

After just two years of college sailing, Dartmouth’s Deirdre Lambert was named Quantum Women’s College Sailor of the year, on top of earning All-American honors. Despite such success so early on in her college sailing career, Lambert remains grounded and focused on improvement—for not only herself, but for the entire Big Green sailing team.

NYYC Annual Regatta 2013

The 159th New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta presented by Rolex started Friday, June 14 with a separately scored around-the-island race and then led into a competitive weekend series. Every other year, the Annual Regatta falls between the Annapolis to Newport race and Block Island Race Week, churning up lots of competition and fun. Photos by Rolex/Daniel Forster.
