Plans Set for 2003 Boat of the Year Contest

New Boats

The schedules for entering and testing new boats for Sailing World’s Boat of the Year contest have been set, although final details for the 19th annual test are still being worked out.

A call for entries has been mailed to builders worldwide who’ll have new production boats for the North American market, and testing is planned for Annapolis, Md., October 10 to 19. Look for our annual new boat preview in the October issue and to this site for brief previews on each BOTY Nominee as they become available.

We’re assembling a top notch judging panel again this year to evaluate the best new production boats. You won’t want to buy a new boat without first checking what these experts have to say.

Boat of the Year awards will be announced at the St. Pete Boatshow November 22 and in the pages of Sailing World’s December issue.
