Interview: Annapolis NOOD Overall Winner

We catch up with Bennet Greenwald, who takes the overall title at the 2013 Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOOD after winning in the competitive J/70 fleet.

Bennet’s sailing career began on Lake Michigan at age 13 with the gift of a sailfish from a family friend.

Bennet claims that sailing has lengthened his life and his lifelong passion for learning is fulfilled each time he goes out. Having lots of children and grandchildren, a real estate development business and serving as Board Chair at Second Chance (a San Diego organization serving the homeless and addicted with job training and placement) fills the hours when he can’t sail.

Watch our winner’s debrief with Bennet Greenwald, who won the J/70 class in Perseverance at the 2013 Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOOD and punches his team’s ticket to the Sperry Top-Sider Caribbean NOOD Championship presented by Sunsail in November.
