“It’s just a different form of the same art; never any one day is the same, so we look forward to coming in and finding out new things every day,” says ORACLE Sail Loft Manager Craig Phillips.
With the Cup swiftly approaching, the ORACLE TEAM USA sail makers are busy making “soft” sails that will complement the wing. Their unconventional tasks include adding buoyancy for safety, and some of the guys have even started using a hairdryer 8 hours a day in order to keep up with the technology.
