At the 2014 New York Yacht Club Race Week, organizers tried some new concepts, including stadium-style racing that took place on Thursday and Friday. Viewable from the shorelines of Jamestown and Newport, the keelboats had windward-leeward laps, while the swift Marstrom 32 catamarans wove in and out and about as fast as they could on America’s Cup style courses.
