There’s a mystery man crossing the Mediterranean on a Mini this summer, and I wish he were me.
Compared to modern racers, 12-Metres are heavy, slow, and a lot of work to sail. But no other class can match the 12s when it comes to sailing history, and that’s what makes the ride worthwhile.
Rather than actually file a protest, it’s a lot easier to just whine about the rule breakers, the cheaters, and the indignant victims who only compound the rules-compliance problem.
