Meet the Boat: The AC45

The AC45 is a lean, mean, speed machine. Held down by a crew of five, this 44-foot long catamaran can cruise at speeds of over 30 knots in the right conditions. Designed by the defending team ORACLE Racing, the AC45 has already helped to make sailing a more visual and exciting spectator sport–plus, these boats can each fit into a 40-foot container!

Extreme Sailing Series: Act 3 (Istanbul)

The third act of the series brought great breeze and the closest finish so far this year, with The Wave, Muscat _coming out on top after 4 days and 29 races. _The Wave, Muscat, headed by Leigh McMillan now stands in first overall with 29 points. Close behind them is French _Groupe Edmond de Rothschild _with 25 points, and then in third _Red Bull Sail__ing Team _with 24 points. Not to be discounted is _Oman Air _in 4th with 23 points total.
