The postponement flag hangs from the yard arm at the Chicago YC this morning as 157 teams wait inside the basin for the first day of the Sailing World Chicago NOOD Regatta. Twenty-one classes are teed up to race once the fog clears. It’s no surprise the Tartan 10s have the greatest numbers with 47 entries. One-design classes include:1D35s (7), Beneteau 40.7 (11), Farr 395 (8), Farr 40, Sydney 38 (7), Beneteau 36.7 (9), Corsair Trimarans (8), J/105 (23), J/35 (9), J/24 (8), J/30 (8), Melges 24 (12), S2 7.9 (17). There are four PHRF classes with 49 total, one Level class and one 42-foot class. Check back later for results, reports, and photos. For now, it’s off the races.
