Race-friendly weather prevailed over Puget Sound during day one of the 2012 Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta, which saw almost every boat class complete three races. The prime conditions paved the way for a pivotal day two of sailing on Saturday. The Melges 24 fleet, one of the largest in this year’s regatta, saw a strong fleet of 19 navigate the Puget Sound course with masterful precision. In the end, Teron from Port Madison Yacht Club squeaked out the class’s top spot with a three race score of seven points.
