Annapolis NOOD – NOTICE OF RACE Amendment #1

Notice of Race - Amendment #1

2007 Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta
At Annapolis

NOTE: Due to an oversight during the editing process, the Notice of Race for this event was published with an error concerning the rules under which the Melges 24 Class will be competing. Accordingly, the Amendment below corrects that error in NOR Section #1 RULES.
Section 6 SCHEDULE of RACES is also changed.

Remove Notice of Race Section1.2 and replace it with the following:

1.2 This applies to the Melges/24 Class only: For infringements that occur within 2 boat lengths of a rounding mark or Finishing Mark, RRS 44.2 remains unaltered. For other infringements, the first sentence of RRS 44.2 is amended to read: ” After getting well clear of other boats as soon after the incident as possible, a boat takes a One-Turn Penalty by promptly making one turn in the same direction, including one tack and one gybe.”

Remove the first sentence of Section 6 and replace it with the following:

“Eight races are scheduled. Rendezvous near the mouth of the Severn River at 1000 each day.”
