2016 World Match Racing Tour season opener is a six-day event under a new format of racing – M32 high-performance catamaran fleet and match racing from 2 – 7 March 2016.The first event will be hosted in Freemantle,Western Australia at Bathers Beach.
The World Match Racing Tour is set for a thrilling 2016 season. The prospect of high-octane multihull racing and seven-figure prize money is attracting new names to the World Match Racing Tour for the first time. The world’s best sailors including six-time Match Racing World Champion Ian Williams from Great Britain, former Olympic sailors – Yann Guichard (FRA), Matthias Rahm (SWE), Sally Barkow (USA) and former Volvo Ocean Race helmsman Nicolai Sehested (DEN) and many more will compete on the 2016 circuit.
