Jose Estevez Samela and the crew of Personal won Overall IMS at the 2007 Circuito Atlantico Sur Rolex Cup, a weeklong regatta combining both inshore and offshore racing in Argentina and Uruguay.After finishing fourth in the distance race from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Punta del Este, Uruguay, earlier in the week, Samela dominated the regatta’s inshore segment with two firsts and two seconds. A second place finish in Sunday’s 15-mile race around Punta Ballena concluded a near flawless week for the Personal team.Elsewhere in the 67-boat fleet, Kirkor Simsiroglu’s Funcei-San Gregorio won Overall IRC and Toribio de Achaval’s German Frers 50 Matrero won the offshore racer/cruiser division.For complete results, click here.
