Qingdao China Departs for Murmansk

Guo Chan Sailing onboard Qingdao China has departed for Murmansk to start their attempt at setting the record for the non-stop Northeast Passage.

Qingdao China left Kirkenes, the north port of Norway towards Murmansk at 10pm(Norway local time) today. She is expected to arrive in Murmansk around 2pm(Russian local time) tomorrow.

After 6 days’ stay in Kirkenes, Qingdao China had been thoroughly checked and all problems found had been fixed.

Guo Chuan, skipper of Qingdao China is very satisfied with the trimaran and confident of the coming Arctic extreme challenge.
