Press Release: US SAILING Wants Input on Grand Prix Rule

A working party including representatives of US SAILING, the Royal Ocean Racing Club, and the Offshore Racing Council are studying what a new Grand Prix rating rule should look like.

Portsmouth, R.I. (April 14, 2003) – The International Grand Prix RuleWorking Party (RWP) has created a questionnaire to obtain feedback from potential owners, designers, boat builders, sail makers, and sailors regarding a Grand Prix rule. Until May 5th, the questionnaire is available at US SAILING’s website: www.ussailing.org/offshore/grand_prix_rule_questionnaire.aspThe RWP has been constituted under the auspices of three stakeholders: US SAILING, the Offshore Racing Council (ORC), and the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC).
