By the year 2007, I had hoped to be piloting a rocket car and enjoying daily massages from my robotic housekeeper. That hasn’t happened, but something almost as exciting has: Sailing World launched a new website. On the new and improved SailingWorld.com, you’ll find a host of fun and useful features. Our redesigned forums are a great place to swap ideas with other racers, look for crew, or troll for local knowledge. In our user photo gallery you can upload photos from your last regatta or sailing adventure. Want your voice to really get heard? The user’s blog is a virtual soapbox where you can stand up and shout anytime you like. In addition to these interactive features, we have expanded the site to offer the most complete racing coverage possible. Our home page displays more late-breaking racing news and in-depth features, and we’ve added an Editor’s Blog to keep you apprised of our latest whims. Enjoy the convenience of our new photo gallery software, or dig a little deeper to discover specialized sections like “Ocean Racing” and “Electronics“. We’ve even streamlined NOOD regatta registration with an online entry form. In the next few weeks, we’ll be launching more new sections and cranking up our regatta coverage with on-location reports from Key West Race Week and the Sperry Top-Sider St. Petersburg NOOD. There’s always something going on at SailingWorld.com, so add us to your “Favorites” and check back frequently.
