A representative from the Mari-Cha IV crew has announced that the new 140-foot schooner will be attempting to break the West-East Transatlantic record beginning at around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The 2,925-mile course will take M-C IV from Ambrose light off New York City to the Lizard, a lighthouse at Land’s End England, the entrance to the English Channel.
