When asked if Oracle would concede the final race, as Prada did when they were 3 points down to Alinghi in the Quarterfinals, skipper Chris Dickson replied: “We certainly will not be conceding the last race until we cross the finish line and we have not given up hope of winning the series yet. We know that being 3 nil down is a tough ask but weve had two out of three races where we thought we were in with a very good shot. Well certainly be out there on the start line and Alinghi may chose to concede — who knows?”
In the OneWorld/Prada matchup, the score is effectively 1-1 Even though OneWorld has won two races, their one-point penalty evens up the score.
