Multinational hardware and software company Alcatel Lucent recently released “32nd America’s Cup – The Game, Virtual Skipper 5,” a video game designed to capture the experience of mounting an America’s Cup challenge. Available for download here, the PC-compatible game puts users at the helm of their own Cup boat for the Louis Vuitton Cup, where they must earn the right to face Alinghi in the America’s Cup.Featuring detailed digital simulations of Valencia, Port America’s Cup, and all 12 syndicates, the game offers both fleet and match racing, rules tutorials, even a movie-making function that enables gamers to record moments from the game and share them with the larger gaming community through a networking capability. 32nd America’s Cup – The Game, Virtual Skipper 5 complements America’s Cup Anywhere, an online suite that offers live race coverage and digital simulations.For more, click here.
