Casey Aces U.S. Multihull Championship

News brief, 5/1/07

For John Casey and John Williams, the light air cancellation on the final day of the U.S. Multihull Championship in Melbourne, Fla., was good news. The two Floridians were already in first place, having won every race so far. The victory wasn’t as easy for the winners as it sounds: Casey and Williams were trailed throughout the event by Olympic medalist and US Sailing Team member John Lovell, racing with his wife Katy Pilley-Lovell, who finished second in every race. Third place went to John and Tiffany Tomko, while The Hoyt Jolley Sportsmanship Trophy was awarded to Matt McDonald. For more about the event, click here.
