There are many ways to build pride of membership. Here are a few I like: Encourage members to fly burgees on their boats and stickers on their cars. At the clubhouse, display photos, artwork, trophies, models, and burgees. Commission a club painting, prints of which can be sold to members. Sell quality clothing with the club burgee, both for sailing and socializing. Invite community leaders and prominent sailors to speak, providing insights to members and fun events. Encourage members to compete elsewhere and serve as ambassadors, bringing home new ideas.
