The news agency Reuters is reporting that Austrian Tornado sailor Joannes Haeupl has drowned while racing for the Princess Sofia Trophy in the Bay of Palma today. Haeupl and his brother, Martin, were sailing in whats been described as inclement weather, strong winds and rains. The report indicates that the remainder of Fridays races have been suspended as well as the awards ceremony.
