Ronstan Constrictor Rope Clutch

Ronstan Constrictor Rope Clutch

To understand how the Ronstan Constrictor Rope Clutch works, just think, “Chinese finger trap.” A line (halyard, tackline, or anything else) is led through a braided sock, which is attached to an anchor base. Take up on the line to engage the clutch. The higher the load, the tighter the grip will be. Pull the Dyneema trip line to release the grip, and the line runs free. Easy, simple, and light. Line range accommodation is 6mm to 14mm.
