Someday you may find yourself trimming the multi-colored spinnaker of an old something.... Here's how Mike Toppa explained it back in the day.

"Optimal chute trim involves much more than just keeping the luff on the edge of a curl. The whole attitude of the sail must be considered."

Toppa examines the effects of pole height, fore-and-aft positioning of the pole, and sheet lead position on chute trim.
