The Contour 50 is mildly reminiscent of a toned-down French megacat.
This big dual-purpose, folding trimaran, from the design boards of Rob Lambden and Steve Killing, looks like a toned-down French megacat racer. Built by Contour Yachts Inc. with high-load areas reinforced with carbon and Kevlar, the boat can be folded to an 11’11" width for shipping. It has an aluminum rig but is available with an optional carbon mast.
The centerboard in the main hull creates a sailing draft of 8.5 feet or a retracted draft just under five feet. There are eight berths.
