Dave Powlison takes a look at the storied history of the Comet class: “The maple tree in front of Dick Harmon’s Columbus, Ohio, home bore strange fruit last July. There, suspended from one of the branches, beneath the dial of a large scale, hung the hull of a blue Comet. Standing with Harmon, a small band of Comet devotees fretted about the weight of the deck-less empty hull.”
