In the IRC Racing division at the Royal Langkawi International Regatta, line honors weren’t enough for victory– not even close. The series boiled down to a final race dual between Frank Pong’s Jelik and Ray Roberts’ Quantum Racing, but even though Pong’s 75-footer finished 14 minutes ahead of Roberts’ 45-footer, the latter claimed overall victory on corrected time.In the hotly-contested IRC 1 division, David Lindahl’s Swan 40 La Samudra prevailed over Ng Heng Li’s Farr 1104 Gapmurna Mat Salleh. Roger Kingdon won the Firefly one-design series despite missing the final race in order to treat a severe injury sustained to his finger when he caught it in a cleat. For complete results from this Southeast Asian blowout, click here.
