Toronto’s Royal Canadian Yacht Club and the National Yacht Club are hosting the 4th annual Toronto NOOD Regatta. The 2007 Sperry Top-Sider Toronto NOOD Regatta runs from June 22 – 24, 2007.

New for this year:

This year a ‘Champion of Champions’ Fun Regatta will be held after the NOOD Series Racing ends on Sunday June 24th. Who is the best fleet on the lake? Who is the best sailor? The Regatta winner from each Division will be invited to participate in a Mini Fun Regatta in the harbor at the RCYC on the Club’s Ideal 18 boats.

The Mini Fun Regatta will be run in the RCYC harbor prior to the NOOD Closing Ceremonies at the RCYC. The winner of the ‘Champion of Champions’ Mini Fun Regatta will have bragging rights as the overall 2007 Sperry Top-Sider Toronto NOOD champion!

2007 Sperry Top-Sider Toronto NOOD Regatta Schedule:
• Thursday June 21, 2007 – Opening Ceremonies at the National Yacht Club and Skipper’s meeting
• Friday June 22, 2007 – Racing on the water on 4 separate race courses, daily awards, cocktail party and casual sailor’s dinner and party hosted at National Yacht Club
• Saturday June 23, 2007 – Racing on the water, daily awards, complimentary cocktail party, bbq dinner and party hosted at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on the island.
• Sunday June 24, 2007 – Racing on the water, cocktail party, light bbq, “Champion of Champions” Mini-Fun Regatta, and overall awards and closing ceremonies.

The Sperry Top-Sider NOOD’s are an annual series of Regattas run throughout the U.S. and now in Toronto, Canada. Sailing World magazine owns the Regattas and promotes them heavily through it’s magazine and online presence. There will be a feature article in Sailing World magazine about the Toronto NOOD in the printing after the Regatta.
