Last month, we asked you to post pictures of your favorite regatta T-shirts to our Facebook page. The submissions that began popping up on our wall came to represent a strange cross-section of our sport. We've seen Ts from college regattas that took place only months ago and Thistle nationals shirts that survived the Disco era. There's a team shirt from a Chilean catamaran campaign, a memento from a regatta that never happened (1983 Forgotten Regatta), and a souvenir from a regatta that happened twice (2008 Vanguard 15 National Championship). Some of the submissions are just plain ugly (I'm talking to you, Joshua Bone. The Cowtown Stampede sounds like an awesome event, and the T-shirt bears a clever slogan, but the orange coloring might cause J/24 sailors to consider racing PHRF!). Many of the designs show impressive artistry, particularly Tom Miron's submissions from the Pacific Northwest.

Team One Newport has donated prizes for oldest, rattiest, coolest, and dorkiest T-shirts, and the judging panel—me—has made its selections. To see who won and view all inductees into the Regatta T-Shirt Hall of Fame, check out the photo gallery.

Each winner will receive a Camelbak water bottle and a lid latch courtesy of Team One Newport; we'll be contacting winners shortly.

Do you have a favorite T-shirt that deserves entry into the Hall of Fame? Post a photo on our Facebook page and we'll add your submission to the hallowed hall.

Thanks for all your submissions!
