Changes to Sailing World

New infinite scroll feature on articles allows for seamless reading

Beginning on October 16th, readers of Sailing World will be introduced to a new reading experience on the web site called infinite scroll. This new feature will allow readers to browse through articles and photo galleries from their favorite section or sections of the site without having to click through to see the next item of content. As you read an article, the next item from that section will automatically load below it on the page so that when you get to the end of the first article, the next one is there without you having to leave the page. Readers can choose to continue to read that article or scroll past to browse through additional items within the site section. If a reader decides they want to read something that they've scrolled past, then they can just scroll back up and the article will reappear in the list.

In addition to infinite scroll, readers will notice that as they scroll down the page, the site header will now remain visible at the top of the page. This feature allows the reader access to click over to other sections of the site without the need to scroll back up to the top of the page if they've already scrolled through several articles.

We're excited to bring these enhancements to Sailing World and would welcome any feedback from our readers about the new changes. If you have any comments or questions please email us at webmaster@sailingworld.com.
