From the Road: Sailing World’s College Sailing Photo Contest
Sometimes the journey to a regatta is just as memorable as the racing.

College sailors know that there’s always more to an away regatta than the racing: It’s as much about the journey as it is the destination or the final results. Sailing World’s 2013 College Sailing Guide, presented by Sperry Top-Sider, will share the essence of the college sailing road trip with our inaugural College Sailing Photo Contest.
So listen up all you picture-snapping college sailors: It’s time to send us your best and favorite photos that capture the essence of the regatta road trip.
The photographer with the best shot (as determined by the SW editorial and art staff) will receive $500 and will be published in SW’s 2013 College Sailing Guide. Second and third place photos will also be published, with photographers receiving valuable prizes. Honorable mentions will be shared at sailingworld.com.
Remember, it’s all about the road trip: images from the edge of your campus to the docks of your regatta host. Any photo taken at your home venue, or any photo focused strictly on the racing, will not be considered. Up to five photos allowed per photographer. The deadline to submit your photo(s) is Dec. 1, 2012.

-Submit your photo via Twitter or Instagram: tag @sailingworldmag and #sailingroadtrip.
-Upload it to Sailing World’s website and tag it as “college sailing.”
