    Around the Island Race
    The Around the Island Race officially kicked off this year's edition of the New York Yacht Club Race Week. Thirty-four boats sailed around Conanicut Island. George David's Rambler took line honors, while Jim Swartz’s TP52 Vesper won IRC Class 1 on corrected time. Photos: Rolex/Daniel Forster

    Block Island Race Week Preview
    Eight championship events, including the IRC and HPR North Americans, will be held at the Storm Trysail Club’s Block Island Race Week this June. Over 150 boats have signed up for the 25th anniversary of the biennial event. New fleets include classic boats, doublehanded boats, and Gunboats. As usual, the regatta will include an 18-mile around-the-island race.
