Smart Roundings at the Top Mark
Join the layline parade to the weather mark too early or too late, and you’ll struggle to round. Pick the right moment, and you’ll capitalize at the top of the beat. From the Experts "Tactics" from our September 2012 issue.

2013 Sperry Top-Sider St. Pete NOOD Gallery, Day 2
A rapidly building northwesterly breeze got the attention of all 100 boats sailing in the 2013 St. Pete NOOD. While Day 1 of the regatta was about getting the most out of a minimum breeze, Day 2 was all about making sure the breeze didn't get the best of you. Another great collection of photos (with many more on their site) from Allen and Daniela Clark of Photoboat.com.

2012 Orange Coffee Pot Regatta Highlights Video
31 lasers competed at Surf City Yacht Club at the June 2nd Jack Elfman Orange Coffee Pot Regatta this year. The full-rig winner was Clay Johnson, with only 6 points in 7 races after his drop, and the radial winner was Kelly McGlynn, also with just 6 points. Video credit goes to Jon Deutsch, who taped much of the regatta from the bow of his boat, and arranged some of the highlights in this compilation. With the breeze hanging between 10-17 knots, it was a glorious day of sailing.
