Sick_Day: Amber enjoys her first sail
A relaxing day is just what the doctor ordered. Dr. Amber will start her first year in a Family Medicine practice with St. Mary's this fall. |
Sick Day: Bryan and Amber at the Helm
A perfect Wednesday morning on Lake Tahoe. A light breeze, out of the south was just right for introducing my daughter Amber to her first sail aboard "De Nada" our US Yacht 27. Bryan, my first mate and boyfriend to my younger daughter Katie is also new, this year to larger boat sailing. |
Sick Day: Bryan, Drew and Art in the cockpit
Lake Tahoe has a healthy fleet of sailboat racers but we are too inexperienced to joint in, just yet. We have been long time residents of Reno, NV but this is our first year on the lake. |
Sick Day: Tactician, Art keeping a weather eye on conditions.
While the lack of any strong winds didn't keep us from enjoying the day, our crew pushed on in search of that elusive wind that seemed to be just out of reach. |

Sunset
A magical Sunsed during Göteborg Offshore Race. 4-6 knots of breeze, big gennaker up and perfect racing. |
Sunrise
A stunning sunrise during the 2010 Göteborg Offshore race. Always fun to see which boats that did well during the night. This time a First 40 did a great come back in the early hours. |
