2011-'12 Volvo Ocean Race: Awards Ceremony
Franck Cammas did not let the fact that both he and Groupama were new players in the Volvo Ocean Race stand in his way as he sailed into an overall victory for 2011-'12 series. The Prize Giving Ceremony took place in a flurry of confetti in Galway, Ireland, and was even attended by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

2012 Melges 32 U.S. National Championship
Light and tricky conditions prevailed over the three-day event which wrapped up on Sunday, July 29. Although he started the day in second place, Jason Carroll and his Argo managed to snag a second consecutive U.S. National Championship.

Rochester YC (N.Y.) hosted 96 J/24s for the 2012 World Championship on Lake Ontario this September. After the 10-race series, Brazil's Mauricio Santa Cruz and team on Bruschetta took the championship title, while the U.S. team of John Mollicone and 11th Hour Racing finished second. 2012 Orange Coffee Pot Regatta
The June 2nd event took place at Surf City Yacht Club in New Jersey, and served as the US Singlehanded Championships Area C Elimination regatta. 7 races took place. Clay Johnson won the full rig class, with only 6 points after his drop, and Kelly McGlynn won the radial class, again with only 6 points.
