We're looking forward to having you and your crew join us at the Seattle NOOD this year. The dates are May 20-22, 2011 and once again our regatta headquarters will be located at the Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle. The NOOD staff is busy getting ready for you at our fourth stop of the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD season. Welcome to all of you!

REGISTRATION DETAILS:  
A minimum of six boats is required for a class to remain eligible. Due to the number of classes anticipated at this event, entrants should be aware that there is a possibility that certain classes may be started together but still scored separately. A $40 late fee (in addition to the entry fee) will start on May 9, 2011 at 5 p.m. EST. This is an additional fee if you register or pay on or after this date past 5 p.m. EST. Please note this deadline when sending mailed or faxed entries. To receive a refund or to cancel your entry, call 401-845-4412 by May 16, 2011.

PARTY INFORMATION:
Welcome Keg during registration at CYC on Thursday May 19 from 5-7 p.m.

Don't be left out this year! Come join us at the NOOD Party Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after racing! Part hours extended on Friday and Saturday 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Buy now and save. Party Tickets are available to purchase with your registration fee for $45 each for online pre-purchases. On-site they will be $55 each. Each night there will be entertainment, plenty of great food and beverages provided by our sponsors. Merchandise will be sold at the parties so don't forget to stop by to get your exclusive 2011 gear for yourself, friends and family.

CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB INFORMATION: 
Corinthian club and bar will be open as follows during the NOOD Regatta:

Thursday May 19 Bar Open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday May 20 Club opens at 7 a.m., Bar Open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday May 21 Club opens at 7 a.m., Bar Open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday May 22 Club opens at 7 a.m. Bar, Open 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
CYC purchases are by cash or charge. There is no food service available at CYC.

GENERAL INFORMATION: 
Fuel Dock Shilshole Bay Marina
Open 7 days a week year round. Minimum hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Hours will increase by mid-May. 206-783-7555. Monitors VHF channel 17.
Gasoline, diesel, B20 biodiesel blend, kerosene, CNG. End of H Dock.
The Port of Seattle operates a pump out at the outer end of the dock.
Convenience store carries ice, beverages, snacks, and local guidebooks.
 
Shilshole Bay Marina

Monitors VHF channel 17 24 hours.
A complete boatyard (Seaview West) with Travel lift haul out is at the south end of the marina.
The boatyard has propane and repair-yard supplies.

LAUNCH SERVICE:
A wide launch ramp is located north of the marina. This is operated by the Seattle Parks Department. Day use is $6 and $8 for each overnight. $14 for one overnight and $8 for each next night up to 4 night's total. A vehicle must be attached to the trailer or, this is null and void and the trailer will be towed. This is on a first come first served basis in the lot north of Little Coney, north of the Marina.
 
HOISTS:
There are 3 hoists located close to Corinthian Yacht Club at the north end of Shilshole Bay Marina. There will be no charge for hoist service courtesy of the Port of Seattle. It is available at the following hours:
 
Thursday May 19: 3 p.m.-8 p.m.
Friday May 20: 7-10 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.
Saturday May 21: 7-9:30 a.m. and 3:30-6 p.m.
Sunday May 22: 7-9:30 a.m. and 2-5 p.m.
Hoist service will be performed by Port waived operators only.
 
DOCKAGE AND DRY STORAGE:
Dock space and dry storage will be assigned according to reservations on a first come first serve basis. We will try to accommodate all boats at no charge as best as we can. For reservations, please contact Head Dockmaster Darrin Towe at 425-891-2335 or Email him at dtowe@netjets.com. Moorage will be for Thursday May 19, 2011 through Saturday evening May 21, 2011. Moorage for additional nights will be a cost to the participant. Please contact Shilshole Bay Marina for additional nights or personal service at 206-728-3006 or 800-426-7817 or afterhours 206-601-4089.
 
Trailers:
We will try to accommodate as many trailers as possible. Please contact Head Dockmaster Darrin Towe with your needs. See his contact information above.
 

PARKING:
Parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged. Day parking is available on the street. Limited overnight parking will be explained upon request at registration. Overnight parking on the street is not allowed.

Dear Dr. Crash, What's all this I hear about water ballast? In my experience it just makes the boat very sluggish and doesn't stabilize it very well. It also makes for a wet and cold day on the water. Soggy in Sandusky
