MARBLEHEAD INFORMATION:
MOORINGS, DOCKING, & PARKING:
For mooring requests, owners need to make arrangements with the dock master at any of the three participating yacht clubs: the Boston, Corinthian or Eastern. Boats do raft up so bring plenty of fenders and extra line. Dockage and slips are very limited to nonexistent in Marblehead and we suggest that you make arrangements for a mooring. Moorings and docking are both done on a First Come First Serve basis and no advance reservations are accepted. It is suggested that you call the clubs as you are entering Marblehead. As an alterative, moorings are available in Salem Harbor if Marblehead fills up or if adverse weather conditions prevail. Parking in Marblehead is extremely tight. Again, we suggest calling the clubs to find out if parking is available. If arriving each day by car, please make all attempts to carpool.

LAUNCHING, TRAILERS, AND LAUNCH SERVICE: Trailer launching may be done between half tide to high tide at the Eastern ramp, or at the head of Marblehead Harbor at Riverhead Beach.
For out of town guests, crane launching can be done at the Corinthian and Eastern Yacht Clubs only. There is one crane at Corinthian, two cranes at Boston and Eastern. Disabled sailors and their support team may launch from the Boston Yacht Club. Check with the dock master at any of the three yacht clubs for instructions. There is no charge for this service.
There is trailer storage in the parking lot adjacent to the Riverhead Beach launching ramp at the head of the harbor or check with each club's dock master for storage locations.
All three participating clubs will provide launch service during their regular hours: Boston, Corinthian and Eastern.

FUEL: Fuel is available at the Boston Yacht Club from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Unleaded plus and diesel fuel are available as well as ice.

SECURITY: There will be a security guard posted at the club during the parties. If you paid a social fee, and have your ticket it will allow you to come and go as you please.

What's all this I hear about water ballast?
What's all this I hear about water ballast?
Dear Dr. Crash, What's all this I hear about water ballast? In my experience it just makes the boat very sluggish and doesn't stabilize it very well. It also makes for a wet and cold day on the water. Soggy in Sandusky
