More than 180 boats set sail on Sunday for the final day of the Sperry Top-Sider Marblehead NOOD. More than 1,000 sailors from nearly 15 states throughout the U.S. and Canada hit the water to vie for the regatta's overall title, but as it turned out, the weekend's biggest winner didn't have travel far.

Justin Scott of Marblehead was named the overall winner, having steered Dr. Who & The Daleksinto the top spot in the Viper 640 class, one of the most competitive fleets in the event. Having won the Marblehead event, Scott will be invited to participate in the 2008 NOOD Regatta Championships in the British Virgin Islands in November to compete aboard Sunsail 39s against the winners from the other nine stops on the NOOD circuit.

The Marblehead NOOD regatta was the seventh stop of the nine-event series, which sails into Larchmont, N.Y., Sept. 6 to 7, and Houston, Sept. 19 to 21
