Dear Detroit NOOD Sailors,
 
We're looking forward to having you and your crew join us at the Detroit NOOD this year. The dates are June 3-5, 2011 and once again our regatta headquarters will be located at the Bayview Yacht Club. The NOOD staff is busy getting ready for you at our fifth stop of the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD season. Welcome to all of you!

REGISTRATION DETAILS:  
A minimum of six boats is required for a class to remain eligible. Due to the number of classes anticipated at this event, entrants should be aware that there is a possibility that certain classes may be started together but still scored separately. A $50 late fee (in addition to the entry fee) will start on May 16, 2011 at 5 p.m. EST. This is an additional fee if you register or pay on or after this date past 5 p.m. EST. Please note this deadline when sending mailed or faxed entries. To receive a refund or to cancel your entry, call 401-845-4412 by May 30, 2011.

PARTY INFORMATION:
Don't be left out this year! Come join us at the NOOD Party Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after racing! Party hours are on Friday and Saturday 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
 Buy now and save. Party Tickets are available to purchase with your registration fee for $46 each for online pre-purchases. On-site they will be $55 each. Each night there will be entertainment with live music, full meals and beverages provided by our sponsors Mount Gay Rum and Bells Beer. Merchandise will be sold at the parties so don't forget to stop by to get your exclusive 2011 gear for yourself, friends and family.

BAYVIEW YACHT CLUB INFORMATION: 
Trailers and Launching
Bayview Yacht Club has the capability to launch all boats sailing in the NOOD Regatta for Free.
 
Docking
Dockage is free, courtesy of the Bayview Yacht Club and is available on a first come first serve basis starting on Tueday June 1, 2011. Bayview Yacht Club staff will be on hand to direct vessels to maximize dock space. Some dockage may be available at Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, Grosse Pointe Club and Detroit Yacht Club. Please call Harbormaster Angelo Parisi to make arrangements or email at office@byc.com.
 
Dress Code
Bayview Yacht Club has a very casual and relaxed atmosphere. After racing, come as you are and enjoy the regatta party. Coat and tie are not required for evening dining.
 
Club Charging
Participants charging to reciprocal clubs must have their membership card present or use Visa/MasterCard to pay for dining, bar, and other services (US currency please). Club charges are not accepted for Sperry Top-Sider NOOD merchandise.
 
Box lunches
Box lunches will be available for $8 each. These can be picked up in the clubhouse starting at 7:30 a.m. each morning. A box lunch form is included in this mailing. Please fill this out and return it to Bayview Yacht Club before Wednesday June 1, 2011. Orders taken after June 1, 2011 will cost $9 each.
 
Parking
Parking for cars is on a first-come, first-serve basis. When the lots are full there will be parking available on the street. No overnight parking of personal vehicles will be allowed on BYC property except tow vehicles and boat trailers as space permits. Unauthorized vehicles may be towed at owner's expense. There will be a fee of $100 for RV's wanting to stay on Club Property. There will be a designated parking area for RV's. Please note there is LIMITED room for RV's so please make all arrangements PRIOR to arrival with the office of Bayview Yacht Club.
