We're looking forward to having you and your crew join us at the Chicago NOOD this year. The dates are June 10-12, 2011 and once again our regatta headquarters will be located at the Chicago Yacht Club. The NOOD staff is busy getting ready for you at our sixth stop of the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD season.

NOOD LONG DISTANCE RACE- Saturday June, 11
We're pleased to announce the addition of the Chicago NOOD Distance Race which will occur one day only on Saturday June 11, 2011. It is open to all boats 25 feet LOA or greater and we encourage all ORR, "Mac Cruising", and "Jib and Main" boats to enter. The CYC Race Committee expects that the course will be no longer than 30 miles. This new NOOD Distance Race and its fleet will be a great addition to the Chicago NOOD Regatta and promises to be a great time for all who enter. REGISTRATION DETAILS:
A minimum of six boats is required for a class to remain eligible. Due to the number of classes anticipated at this event, entrants should be aware that there is a possibility that certain classes may be started together but still scored separately. A $50 late fee (in addition to the entry fee) will start on May 23, 2011 at 5 p.m. EST. This is an additional fee if you register or pay on or after this date past 5 p.m. EST. Please note this deadline when sending mailed or faxed entries. To receive a refund or to cancel your entry, call 401-845-4412 by June 6, 2011.
PARTY INFORMATION:
Don't be left out this year! Come join us at the NOOD Party Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after racing! Party hours are on Friday and Saturday 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Buy now and save. Party Tickets are available to purchase with your registration fee for $25 each for online pre-purchases. On-site they will be $30 each. Each night there will be entertainment, plenty of great food ala-carte from CYC and beverages provided by our sponsors which are included with your tickets. Merchandise will be sold at the parties so don't forget to stop by to get your exclusive 2011 gear for yourself, friends and family.
CHICAGO YACHT CLUB INFORMATION:
Dockage is available on a first come, first serve basis starting on Tuesday June 7, 2011. Prevailing dockage rates will be charged before Thursday 3:00 p.m. and after Sunday at 7:00 p.m.. Chicago Yacht Club staff will be on hand to direct vessels to maximize dock space. There are slips available and a large wall off which boats can dock. Boats will be rafting up so bring plenty of fenders and extra line.
Box lunches will be available and order forms can be picked up at registration. The lunches can be picked up on the tented patio at 7:30 a.m. each morning. Soda and beer can be obtained at the North Dock, please contact the dockmaster the evening prior if possible. Lunches can be paid for by Visa or MasterCard.
Traditionally the Chicago Yacht Club requests jacket and tie attire inside most of the club. For the NOOD Regatta (Thursday-Sunday), the club is relaxing the dress code. Although jacket and tie are not required, we ask that appropriate attire be worn at all times. Chicago Yacht Club offers several food and beverage services. These will be available starting Tuesday June 8, 2011. The Chicago Yacht Club will accept Visa or MasterCard for all goods, meals and services.
* Lunch in Main Dining Room - 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
* Lunch/Dinner in Captain's Cabin - 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
* Dinner in the Main Dining Room - 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
* Mackinac Bar - Open 11:00 am until 11:00 p.m.
During the regatta there will be a buffet breakfast available in the Main Dining Room featuring scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon/ sausage, muffins, fruit, juice and coffee. There will also be coffee, juice and danish for sale on the main patio. On Thursday night at the Chicago Yacht Club NOOD participants can purchase access to a Pasta Bar.
