    52 Super Series at Palma, Mallorca
    Niklas Zennström's Rán Racing claimed their first victory in the 52 Super Series. Zennström described the near gale force conditions at the four-day Royal Cup in Palma, Mallorca, to be “as good as it gets”.

    Extreme Sailing Series: Act 4 (Porto)
    Leigh McMillan's team The Wave, Muscat performed brilliantly on the tight racecourse of the Douro river, winning first place in 10 of the 32 races and extending his overall series lead. Red Bull Sailing Team came in second in Porto, with Oman Air claiming the final podium spot in third.

    2011-'12 Volvo Ocean Race: Awards Ceremony
    Franck Cammas did not let the fact that both he and Groupama were new players in the Volvo Ocean Race stand in his way as he sailed into an overall victory for 2011-'12 series. The Prize Giving Ceremony took place in a flurry of confetti in Galway, Ireland, and was even attended by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

    2011-'12 Volvo Ocean Race: Leg 9
    CAMPER celebrated victory in the final leg of the 2011-'12 Volvo Ocean Race, while Groupama clinched the overall win. Leg 9 took the teams from Lorient, France, and around the iconic Fastnet Rock to the finish in Galway, Ireland.
