Amanda Clark & Sarah Lihan-Meet the Team
For most Olympic Team members, the dream of standing on a podium watching the American flag raise to the highest point begins in childhood. For Clark, who became the youngest member of the national team at the age of 15 in 1994, that dream was fueled by a passion for competition. Clark is a 2008 Olympian, while this will be the first Games for Lihan.The pair had an impressive performance at Sail For Gold, with a silver medal in the Women’s 470.Click here to watch a video about Clark and Lihan.Images/text: US Sailing Team |
Rob Crane-Meet the Team
Rob Crane, who will represent the USA in the Laser class, was born into a family that is passionate about sailing. His competitive sailing began in the Optimist class, and in 1998 he won the Optimist North American Championship. Soon after, he advanced to the Laser Radial, and it wasn’t before long that he was highly competitive in the full-rig Laser. Crane, 26, had his breakout performance at the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships, where he qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Sailing Team.Click here to watch a video about Rob.Images/text: US Sailing Team |

Extreme Sailing Series: Act 4 (Porto)

2011-'12 Volvo Ocean Race: Awards Ceremony
Franck Cammas did not let the fact that both he and Groupama were new players in the Volvo Ocean Race stand in his way as he sailed into an overall victory for 2011-'12 series. Annapolis Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Annapolis Leukemia Cup Regatta was held on June 1-2 at the Annapolis Yacht Club and raised over $180,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
