The Caribbean 600 started off Fort Charlotte, English Harbour, Antigua, on Feb. 18, and the course wound the 53 boats competing around 11 Caribbean islands. Rhode Island dignitaries and marine industry representatives gathered on Friday February 22 at CCF Composites for the presentation of the Boat of the Year awards.

From an International Finn Association press release:"In the lead up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Finn class in Brazil is undergoing something of a resurgence. It's recent National Championship, held in Sao Paulo, attracted 25 boats, and many of them were new boats built in Brazil. The 2012 Olympian Jorge Zarf dominated the series with six race wins from seven races. Second was the double Olympic Star medalist Bruno Prada on his return to the Finn class. Andre Mirsky was third.Also on the water was photographer Ale Socci from Green Pixel Photos. As well as the expected race action photos, he took some incredible water level shots of the fleet from a variety of angles proving once again, it's not what you have that matters, it's what you do with it."Photo by Ale Socci, www.greenpixel.com.br

Sandy Peacock--a Sydney-based advertising agency owner who was at the first Hamilton Island Race Week in 1984 working as a yachting journalist and photographer--found a long-forgotten box of images from the Australian event.This year's Audi Hamilton Island Race Week will be held Aug. 17 to 24.Click here to view photos from the 2011 event.

A rapidly building northwesterly breeze got the attention of all 100 boats sailing in the 2013 St. Pete NOOD. While Day 1 of the regatta was about getting the most out of a minimum breeze, Day 2 was all about making sure the breeze didn't get the best of you. The 2013 Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta season got off to a solid start with most classes getting in 3 or 4 races on Tampa Bay. Allen and Daniela Clark from PhotoBoat.com were out to document the action.
